Last September, I started at Special Collections as an intern doing administrative tasks, social media, re-shelving, accessioning, working on future exhibits and spending my time being mostly surrounded by old, beautiful things. The past couple of weeks I’ve been back on an assignment to archive over 600 photographs documenting the career of Helena Rubinstein. The photos cover everything from her work in her labs, factories, and schools to the incredible interiors of her offices and homes. Seriously, she has a Dali room.
As I get farther into the photos and get everything scanned, I’ll share more photos because some of them are really incredible. Look this lady up. She did good.
