Successful Switch, Computer In Rehab, New Art

The switch was successful! As in Shoes Off Please is now a self-hosted site and I can start making it more user-friendly, organized, and pretty! I’m itching to get started but…womp, wooomp. My computer got sick and has to go to Apple rehab. The timing!!!
Oh MacBook Pro how I have loved you. We’ve had some great times together, some all nighters, lots of movies, and you’ve been there for me through my FIT years of papers and photoshop. I hope you feel better soon.
What that means as far as the blog goes is that any updates and working out kinks is going to have to wait.
In the meantime I want to share a print we just got in the mail from Lefty Lettering. 20130204-204624.jpgIt’s by Kristin Nohe’s shop on Etsy and I love it! It’s a Steve Martin quote and the message is great.

20130204-205143.jpgIt’s going in the kids’ room over Mia’s crib. We have so much work to do in that room but I’m so excited for all the little pieces we’ve been collecting to add to it.

I am so incredibly excited to tell everyone that Shoes Off Please has been nominated for Apartment Therapy’s 2013 “The Homies“!!!

This is by far the coolest thing to happen to my blog. If it had legs it would be hardcore-shamelessly-arms-flailing-dancing right now. (My personal happy dance is of course completely graceful).
I remember the first time I was on Apartment Therapy was for Aiden’s first birthday and that was super exciting.
